Hurricane Ida Relief

On Septemeber 3, 2021, Louisiana was ravaged by Hurricane Ida leaving thousands across the state without power or access to essentials.

Project Big Dot along with other local non profits sprang into action to assist the citizens by providing them with access to essential toiletries. We created and distributed over 400 bags which included toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant as well as feminine hygiene products and diapers!

In the upcoming weeks we will continue to assist with essentials as well as hot meals thanks to our donors as well as local business sponsors!

We also want to give a special shoutout to our friend and community activist Gary Chambers for allowing us to be apart of his “Power to the People” initiative where he gave away over one hundred generators and provided meals and essentials to locals in Edgar and Killona, LA!
